Offered for your consideration is this beautiful Fender Custom Shop Telecaster NOS in Dakota Red and built in 2009.  This sweetheart of a Tele looks like it is brand new!

This guitar was built with the same specs as the original upon which it is based, meaning it has slightly smaller vintage style frets and a 7.25" fretboard radius.  A lot is made of the desireablity of bigger frets and a flatter fingerboard radius, but if you are primarily a rhythm player and do more chord work than you do solos, I suspect you will find the vintage specs of this guitar make it much more comfortable to play.  This Dakota Red beauty has an Alder body with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a total guitar weight of just under 8 lbs.  It has a Maple neck with a 60's Oval C carve with depth measurements of .82" at the first fret and .93" at the twelfth.  The fretboard is made from very dark Rosewood and a 1.650" nut width.  The pickups are "Vintage '63" single coils combined with volume, tone and a three-way switch.  While originally wired with a "Dark Vintage Circuit" (no treble when the 3-way is in the neck only position), this guitar has been rewired to give it a modern Tele control setup.  The 3-ply white pickguard that originally came on this guitar has been replaced by a 3-ply mint guard which looks much better in my opinion.

As I mentioned above, the vintage specs on this guitar make it a joy to play,  particularly if chord work constitutes the majority of your playing.  The pickups in this guitar give it a superb vintage Tele sound, with lots of twang and clarity.  Please check out the brief sound sample included herein.

Despite being made in 2009, this NOS format (no factory aging) instrument still looks like brand new.  There are no flaws of any significance and the frets look like new as well.  It comes in it's original G&G case with the Fender amp logo (also in near mint condition), along with the certificate of authenticity and the accessories shown.  Condition-wise, this guitar could pass for new!

This baby looks, plays and sounds great and you would be hard pressed to find one in better condition.  Make this lovely Dakota Red beauty yours today!
